The National Geospatial Initiative for Critical Infrastructure Protection (NGI-4-CIP) is GITA's contribution to meeting homeland security challenges, protecting our vital infrastructure assets, and preventing accidental damage to underground facilities. In addition, NGI-4-CIP is GITA's main method of assisting the U.S. government in building the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI).
