Wednesday, April 15, 2015
St. Paul, Minnesota, April 15, 2015: The Geospatial Information and Technology Association (GITA) is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with Geospatial Media and Communications to develop and promote the GeoBuiz 2015 conference. As part of this partnership, both GITA and Geospatial Media will work together to promote the vision and mission of the conference with their respective contacts. The conference will be held on 10-11 August, 2015 at Marriott Bethesda North and Conference Centre, Maryland.
GeoBuiz 2015 will be an intense international meeting focusing upon geospatial technology business trends and directions, policy development, innovation, implementation, education and research. Keynote addresses, panel discussions, and case studies will be drawn from the utility, infrastructure, government, and business analytics industries. Other sessions of interest include application sectors such as Building Information Modelling (BIM), local government uses, and analytic challenges.
An exclusive pre-conference program about the evolving role of National Mapping Agencies - programs, policies, standards and solutions - will take place at the Maryland venue in parallel with the United Nations Initiative on Global Geospatial Information Management (UN-GGIM) meeting on August 9th.
As a unique element of the partnership, a registration website dedicated to GITA members and its contacts has been set up. Early bird registration at a substantial discount is available through the end of April. Individuals may take advantage of this offering by registering at: http://geobuiz.net/gita_reg.asp.
