GITA is on the Move!

The GITA Board of Directors is exceptionally pleased to announce the following NEW and additional professional development opportunities for its members:
- Under the auspices of the United Nations, GITA’s GECCo program will be used during an upcoming disaster preparedness and response workshop that will be held in Hanoi, Viet Nam, November 10-14. The UN and GITA expect this pilot program to expand to additional countries in the coming year. Read more.
- GITA has reached a partnership agreement with Canada’s premier geospatial conference, Geospatial Advancement Canada 2015. The event will be held in Ottawa, ON, March 3-5, 2015, and will provide GITA members with the opportunity to receive discounted admission and have a forum for their professional presentations. Additional details will be announced at a later date.
- The Common Ground Alliance 811 Excavation Safety Conference & Expo to be held in Orlando, FL, March 10-12, 2015, will feature for the first time a GIS track developed and managed by GITA. Members from across the Association will have the opportunity to participate and present at this critical infrastructure and safety conference which typically sees attendance in excess of 1,800. Details to be announced soon.
In addition, GITA’s Board remains committed to improving leadership and operational opportunities for members by encouraging:
- Involvement in GITA’s fall membership campaign which was launched yesterday. Read more.
