Geospatial Technologies in Emergency Response & Public Safety

About 40 people attended the February GeoPrez, held at the NYC Office of Emergency Management in Brooklyn, NY. A presentation entitled "Geospatial Technologies in Emergency Response & Public Safety" was given by Dorothy Nash, an NYPD "civilian" permanently assigned as a Senior Associate in the NYC Office of Emergency Managament's GIS Division. The presentation included geospatial topics such as plume modeling, critical infrastructure, and data sharing issues. Following the presentation, the participants were given a tour of the impressive OEM facility.
