About 20 people attended the June GeoPrez, held at the New York City Transit office at 2 Broadway in downtown Manhattan. A presentation entitled "Modern Survey Technology & Creation of As-Built 3D Drawings: Use of Laser Scanning & GPS to Supplement Field Surveys" was given by Matt Molihan, P.E., with the Survey Engineering group at New York City Transit. The presentation included geospatial topics such as using 3D laser scanning and GPS technologies for utilization in 3D modeling, tunnel inspections, GIS, & Building Information Management (BIM).
