The Alberta Chapter received official
approval as the 18th regional chapter by the GITA
Board of Directors at its December 6, 2000 meeting.
Our goal is to provide you with useful information
about our Chapter and keep members up to date on Chapter
News.
We plan several educational events every
year in Calgary and Edmonton. Our pinnacle event is
the GeoAlberta conference, held every spring. Our
Chapter also provides educational scolarships to students
studying in geospatial programs.

The Alberta Chapter is a nonprofit
organization relying on volunteers and corporate donations
to allow us to continue to provide quality geospatial
education. We are always looking for corporate sponsorship
to help us reach our goals and fulfill our mission.
