Membership in GITA is for professionals who are interested in using geospatial information technologies to meet operational and business goals. Individual members represent a wide variety of backgrounds and interests, including utilities, all levels of government, telecommunications companies, the energy industry, academia, and others.

Student membership is open to all full-time students registered at an accredited college or university. Proof of full-time status is required with the application.
